While working with clients this week you can see all the pressure to stick with their goals, resolutions, plans…you name it. We’ve switched from saying resolutions to goals for a softer, positive psychology approach. This year is also the “Ins” and “Outs” lists that are really popular on TikTok. Whatever you want to call it I just want you to remember that you are not broken. We are all doing the best we can as we go through life. Whether you work 80 hours a week, have young or older children, elderly parents or are just trying to get through, it is in our nature to want better.
For me personally, every New Year’s and every Birthday I set goals I want to accomplish or tasks I want to complete. I look at these goals at the beginning of every month and break them down per week. That helps me to stay focused and live with intention. I’m also a very task oriented person so adding relaxation is not the most comfortable for me. This year I’ve added a theme which is another popular trend right now. My theme for 2024 is “Better Me.” I’m super excited with my selection because I feel I’m doing pretty good in most areas of my life but I strive to be better. I want to live life fully with an abundance of gratitude and a heart full of love.
