Week 35: Acts of Love

February is my favorite month! I’m a huge Valentines celebrations person and one day just doesn’t seem like enough time to tell all the people in your life how much you love them. When my kids were younger I hung little heart holders on their doors and every night I would put in a love note or little treat. As they got older the treats got bigger and messages of love became fun rhymes to coordinate with the gift. When they went to college I would send a box with all fourteen gifts, numbered for which day to open. Cassie my second daughter for sure opened them all the first day:))

This week’s challenge of Acts of Love for the people in your life actually helps ourselves as well. By doing things for others we help ourselves to feel better, increase our empathy, compassion and boost our heart health. So think of doing a daily action such as taking a friend to lunch, doing your spouse’s laundry (this is a norm for me:)) dropping off a meal, picking up coffee….anything that will let the recipient know that you love them.
