Week 29: Mantras

One of my absolute favorite health habits is using mantras! Mantras are a word or phrase that you repeat often. Using mantras helps to reduce stress, gives you a greater sense of calm, increases self-compassion and gives you a more positive outlook. Think of 3 adjectives, attach “I am” to the beginning and repeat 3 times a day.

I started using mantras when I was sick with Lyme Disease. I was bed ridden for about 6 months and the minutes of the day were incredibly slow and painful. I realized I had to change my thoughts and my first mantra of the twenty three I currently have, which I say multiple times throughout the day is “I am strong.” By saying mantras you empower yourself and change your mindset. It’s amazing how powerful our minds really are. Jump In!
